Everyone is smiling brightly in Tinchuli

A new laboratory for dental preventation and care
is being completed at the Himalayan Healing Centre

Peace Times 10

The Himalayan Healing Centre, situated in Tinchuli-Boudhanath, Nepal, has taken another step forward in its efforts to provide the best and cheapest health care facilities possible to the inhabitants of the local community.

Since it was opened five years ago, the Healing Centre has regularly updated services and acted as an important base for health awareness programmes. But now, thanks to the initiative and generosity of a French dentist, a new project is underway which will really put a smile on the faces of those using the clinics. A new dental laboratory is currently being set-up, which will enable technicians to replace lost teeth, makes crowns, bridges.... thanks to a technology which is virtually impossible to find in Nepal.

Also planned in the near future are courses in traditional Tibetan medicine, aimed at those who wish to deepen their knowledge of this precious healing science. The Healing Centre is dedicated to the propagation of traditional healing sciences and since it opened has continuously offered the services of doctors trained in Tibetan and Ayurvedic medicine to patients.

Other than offering an insight into the profound philosophy of a medical system that is as valid today as it was 2500 years ago, courses will also offer the possibilty for participants to gain practical experience in the clinic as well as explore traditional therapies.

For further information about courses or dental appointments contact the Healing Centre, P.O. Box 804, Kathmandu, Nepal.
