The LGWPF grows bigger

a new seat for conferences in Milan

Peace Times 12

The Lama Gangchen World Peace Foundation has a new conference hall: in Via Pindaro 28, Milan. The official inauguration took place on the 4th of May and was particularly moving and meaningful: the sounds and colours of traditional Tibetan Buddhism, which cultivate generosity, underlined the value of the wish of Roberto Gavinelli, who passed away on the 9th of July last year, to dedicate the hall to the peace activities and spiritual research to which the Foundation of Lama Gangchen is committed.

The inauguration ceremony was followed by the international congress «Peace Education for Better Living in the Third Millennium», with the participation of doctors, therapists, healers, psycho-logist, as well as representatives of the International Association of Educators for World Peace (Iaewp) coming together from countries such as USA, Spain, Switzerland, India and South Africa.

In a very lively debate the speakers concluded that a medicine «fit for man» has to be able to stimulate the development of self-responsibility towards health and that everyone should have the right to choose their method of healing. The fundamental basis of all healing - it was said - is built on faith in the doctor and of the treatment he prescribes.

The conference hall of the Lgwpf is also open to other organisations, public and private, who work for peace. In fact, it was used right after the inauguration, to guest a meeting organised by the Brahma Kumaris. For information contact +39 -338 3390875
