The aim of eradicating polio by the year 2000 is one of the biggest challenges facing international organisations and especially those working in South Asian nations. With the help of both national and international organisations, thousands of children throughout the Kingdom of Nepal received polio pulses on the 21st of November 1999 and 23rd of January 2000 as part of the National Polio Immunization Program. Under the program conducted at the Himalayan Healing Centre Clinic, staff members have worked tirelessly to administer polio drops to 1,384 children. |
