Samling Montessori Model School

A free education is not a luxury available to all, and especially to many children who live in remote villages or whose parents have low paid menial jobs in Nepal. However, structures such as the pioneering Samling Montessori School in Kathmandu, Nepal, are doing an excellent job of providing education, completely free of cost, to children whose parents work in the carpet factories. The school, open six days a week to under sevens, now employs seven full-time teachers who provide primary education for up to 150 children. The children receive free school materials, uniforms and snacks, as well as lessons in traditional art and dancing...

Together with «Help in Action» the Samling Montessori School is also ensuring that these same children have the possibility to receive a secondary education by finding them sponsors.

The gift of US$ 250 a year, goes a long way in assisting a child of Nepal to be ready for the 21st century! Contact «Help in Action» for further information.
