Mr. Kok Kim Tong

Kualar Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, will host for the 12th year the annual ceremony in honour of the Medicine Buddha, from the 6th to 14th of November. President of the Medicine Buddha Centre, Mr Kok Kim Tong, who is the promoter of this initiative, invites all those people intrested to participate in the celebrations, which will be held at the Chinese Assembly Hall.

Lama Gangchen - spiritual director of the centre - will conduct the entire ceremony: leading the ritual blessings, the offering of lights, conferring initiations, as well as giving a transmission of the Ngalso Tantric Self-Healing practice.

Dedicated in general to the development of inner and world peace, the week of celebrations also includes special activities to aid in a very practical way the local community: in particular, is the donation of blood at a local hospital to help the sick; and a special ceremony dedicated to the deceased, during which people who have lost dear ones can remember and pray for them in a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. As in previous years the week of peace celebrations will conclude with a fire puja, an auspicious blessing and a special ceremony to liberate birds.
