by Carmen Iodice The restructuring work to convert a grand former dairy in Albagnano of Bče is to start very soon. The beautiful farmhouse was chosen by Lama Gangchen to found a centre for self-healing and peace education, and the necessary permits from the local authorities should arrive by springtime. The proposed project not only involves the restructuring of the two buildings which make up the complex, but also to convert the country lane leading up to it, into a proper road and car park. Much attention is given to the conservation and refurbishing of the seventy thousand square meters of woodland which surround the structure. The wish is to create a peace haven on the hills of Albagnano where a dozen people have already moved to and are doing their utmost in order for the project to become a reality. Thus a small community of spiritual seekers and peace messengers has taken life and together regularly organise spiritual and meditation meetings in make-shift rooms. Once restructured, the newly baptised Gangchen Cho Pel Ling Centre of Albagnano will include dormitories and a small restaurant, and will therefore be able to offer hospitality to those wishing to take part in residential courses such as meditation (particularly NgalSo Tantric Self-Healing) as well as natural medicine taught by teachers belonging to different traditions.
