Each individual needs peace at each and every stage of his or her life, and this everyday and every moment of the day. We must learn to develop peace within our mind: in this way we will be able to influence our surroundings positively. Patience is the basis for realizing a peaceful mind. Making the effort to understand this will have fruitful results. Inner peace must become a daily habit: it will make our life more pleasant because we will be able to deal with it in a better way. I was won over by the enlightened activities of Lama Gangchen whilst I was the Director of the Library at the Institute of Higher Tibetan studies in Varanasi, India, and so I readily volunteered to become one of his peace messengers. I have spent one year by the side of Lama Gangchen and I rejoice in the peace work that he accomplishes and the resulting great service he renders to this world. I am happy that he can count on the help of so many devoted friends. |
