Peace Radio is a marvellous plan of action in progress; it is the first channel of communication which exclusively transmits messages of peace, through an elaborate network of information on how to take care both of oneself and ones environment. The Peace Radio is the brainchild of Lama Gangchen, one of the many ‘love sparks’ he uninteruptedly spreads to the four corners of the world. This particular ‘spark’ was caught by Doctor Franco Ceccarelli, a new age economist, who since the launching of the radio in September 1994, has put tremendous positive energy into the realisation of this revolutionary idea, joined by Franco Di Nepi, Franco Uccelli and above all the Sella family, pioneers in the field of information and owners of the station. It is from the union of these energies that the Peace Radio was born in September 1994.

The third millennium is now virtually on our doorstep and many people sincerely wish to access the positive messages of hope that it promises. We do no longer accept that violence is the only voice, nor do we accept that politics and economic power are the only impulse. Today, thanks to the mass media, our common voice can be heard: the people are asking, both for themselves and for future generations, to learn about and teach the truly essential values necessary for mankind - how to live in peace with ourselves and with others.

The Peace Radio is the first concrete expression of this determined wish for well-being, it is on the air from 7am to 2am, transmitting therapeutic music as well as a large variety of meditation and information programmes. Spokespersons of various schools of thought are regularly invited and representatives of the new age culture are interviewed on programmes which include information about holistic therapies and alternative medicine. The Peace Radio periodically organises parties with all those involved in developing peace: the next date, Spring 1997.

The message of the Peace Radio does not aim to convert anyone to any particular belief, but it offers each and everyone of us the possibility to open our own mind to a new reality, which is both urgently needed and indispensable to improve the quality of each single individual’s life as well as for the actual survival of the entire planet.

The Peace Radio wishes for the sound of its voice to echo increasingly far and wide, so as to become the common voice in this country, between nations, on the planet. A global voice for peace.
